CHRISTIAN CAUJOLLE was a student and collaborator of great French thinkers like Roland Barthes. Starting as a journalist for French newspaper Liberation, he created in 1986 the photographers agency VU. Artistic director of the Rencontres photographiques d’Arles in 1997, he now teaches at the École Nationale Supérieure Louis Lumière. In 2008, he created the PhotoPhnomPenh festival; he still is the President today. He collaborates with many other festivals and publications in France and abroad, as curator, critic and author.

PHILONG SOVAN, born in 1986, has been a professional photographer in Phnom Penh since 2009. First a press photographer for various Cambodian newspapers, he has carried out several projects with the “Studio images” of the French Institute. After a year of study at the Louis Lumière School in Lyon in 2012, he continued his career as a photographer and taught photography. His photos have been published in The Guardian, Le Monde Magazine, Globe Magazine and several other international publications.
