It was with immense pleasure that the French Institute of Laos hosted the opening of an artist whose work is particularly dear to us, both for its message and for the values ​​​​it conveys, Bounpaul Phothyzan.

We wish to express our warmest thanks to him for choosing the French Institute as the setting for his exhibition “The Vestiges of Renewal”. While he had already exhibited at the French Institute of Laos at the beginning of his career in 2004, it is with particular emotion that we welcome him back today with a project of such depth and symbolic power.

In addition to its powerful testimony to the impact of UXO in Laos, “The Vestiges of Renewal” is a true message of peace and hope. The exhibition highlights the power of each individual to choose renewal, healing, and art, rather than the perpetuation of violence.
